DETAILS
The Tokarev TAR12P AR-12 resembles the AR-15 / M16 rifle, and the control and function are similar and comes chambered in 12 Gauge. There have been a couple of variations of these on the market with varying degrees of success. Still, with this latest generation of AR-12, Tokarev has finally hit on the ultimate combination of design and features. This shotgun has beautifully styled polymer furniture with a great feel similar to Houge.
The buttstock has a built-in recoil pad, an ergonomic pistol grip, and a flat top receiver with a full weaver rail. The forearm has a classic flair with the modularity of Picatinny sections near the muzzle. It is chambered for both 2 3/4″ and 3″ shells. In our test, the TAR-12P has functioned great.
Ultra-smooth, ultra-fast, and ultra-reliable. Comes complete with Flip-Up Sights and a full choke set. The Tokarev TAR12P accepts all standard AR-12 / MKA-12 – FR-99 pattern shotgun mags and drums. The AR12 semi-automatic shotgun uses a conventional gas-operated action located around the support tube that runs below the barrel. The return spring is located around the same support tube concealed by an enlarged polymer handguard. The AR12 barrel can be very easily removed from the upper receiver. The upper receiver is manufactured from an aluminum alloy, while the lower receiver, pistol grip, and stock are manufactured as one piece from impact-resist.
