Enlarged reversible magazine catch
The magazine catch of the Gen4 and Gen5 frames is reversible and enlarged towards the rear of the pistol. The reversible magazine catch is more user friendly to the shooter‘s reach and allows them to switch the catch to the left or right side of the pistol.
RTF Rough textured frame surface
The Gen4 and Gen5 have a rough textured frame (Gen4 RTF) surface designed to enhance grip traction, without being too aggressive. It is present on the frame as well as on the interchangeable backstraps.

Each metal frame P95 series pistol is made of hard coated A356T aircraft quality aluminum alloy; Ruger’s proprietary Terhune Anticorro stainless steel (chrome-molybdenum steel in blued models); nearly indestructible resin grip panels; custom, Glock for sale, compounded polymer frames of the P95 andP97; and long strand fiberglass filler that is a natural shock absorber. P95 series pistols easily field strip for cleaning, without the use of special tools, into five major subassemblies.
Ruger offers several ambidextrous variations on the proven P95 series double-action design. Operating features on all centerfire models include a firing pin block that prevents firing unless the trigger is completely pulled and held fully back. Manual safety models incorporate a manual ambidextrous lever that, p90 for sale, when engaged, prevents firing unless the lever is in the “fire” position. Decock only models allow safe return to their “at rest” mode when either ambidextrous decocking lever is depressed.
